Scott Redding rode brilliantly in mixed weather to finally win his first race as a Moto 2 rider. During a ride which saw his main rivals succumb to the difficult conditions, Scott pushed hard and managed to keep control of his lead.
“I knew I was fast and that I could pull a gap when I wanted, but the rain made it even more interesting; for two or three laps I put my hand up and the guys were catching me. I thought, ‘I´m going to have to try and go,’ and then I was sliding so much and trying to put my hand up while sliding. Then we had a red flag so I knew it was mine. I’m just so happy to get my first victory in Moto2!”
Cal Crutchlow also rode really well with a broken bone is his leg to achieve his highest ever finish in MotoGP in second place and Bradley Smith finished well in 9th.
Great to see the British boys fighting at the top!
