We were honoured to have been invited to the Annual Norton Black Tie Dinner at the Radisson Blu hotel near East Midlands airport on Saturday 9th February. A cracking evening with speeches from Stuart Garner, Ian Mackman and Dan Hegarty proving interesting listening.
A question and answer session with all three of the speakers was enlightening, hearing how riders and manufacturers prepare for the TT and the ups and downs of Norton Motorcycles over the last four years. Stuart was candid with his responses, going further than required throughout his time on the mic!
It was refreshing to listen to a CEO who understands mistakes have been made and that Norton has learnt from them. Norton have tackled an enormous challenge in one of the worst economic climates to revive an iconic British brand. The whole team deserve the backing of the entire motorcycling world as it is a better place with Norton motorcycles back in production.
Our own experience of Norton and the bike Spyder Club owns is hugely positive. There are many members who’ve ridden the club bike and are coming to our Norton factory tour on the 23rd February with Commando ownership in mind. We are proud to fly the Norton flag…
